Horseman Information
All races in the UAE, including those during the Dubai International Racing Carnival, and the Dubai World Cup and its supporting races, are subject to the certain Rules of Racing.

The following section contains downloadable forms that must be filled in accurately to ensure the smoothest transition to Dubai for both horses and staff.

Horses from all countries will be required to meet, as a minimum, the UAE temporary import conditions, appropriate to the country of origin.

The Dubai Racing Club (DRC) will offer, through Janah Management Co Ltd and their appointed agents to co-ordinate the shipping of horses to and from Dubai after January 1, 2010.

Weight for Age is one of the conditions for a race. It means that a horse will carry a set weight in accordance with the Weight for Age Scale. This weight varies depending on the horse’s age, its sex, the race distance and the month of the year.
With the continuing success of the Dubai International Racing Carnival and the Dubai World Cup meeting, the Dubai Racing Club has appointed several International Agents to assist in attracting the best horses in training for a slice of some of the world’s richest prize money and the chanced to compete at one of the world’s premier racecourses.
Meydan racecourse comprises of the Meydan training track and the Main track. Both are left handed and feature an All Weather surface on the inside, with the turf track on the outside.
